The Batang Ai Longhouse Resort by Hilton is located on the shores of a spectacular fresh water lake, surrounded by mountains and the unspoiled rainforests of Sarawak. Kinabatangan Riverside Lodge
Kinabatangan Riverside Lodge is located on the edge of the Kinabatangan River. Although a simple property, all rooms are en-suite. There are fans in the rooms, but no air-conditioning. Rooms are built around the gardens and there is a restaurant and bar serving local dishes. The location is superb for watching the sunset over the jungle, whilst sitting on the lodge’s wooden veranda. Complimentary tea and coffee are available together with mineral water in the main reception area. ....
Laban Rata Resthouse
In Kinabalu National Park, for those who have chosen to climb Mount Kinabalu on the extension, a night is spent at Laban Rata Resthouse (located at around 10,500 ft). Accommodation is very simple, with bunk beds, dormitory-style, and basic toilet facilities. Because of the altitude it can be very cold (around or below Freezing Point) so warm clothing will be required. You will be provided with blankets but may wish to take a sheet liner. You may also wish to consider bringing some thermal clothing for extra comfort.....
